DISTRICT LANDSLIDE AWARENESS BOOKLETS
Using the data from the “Istanbul Province Landslide Information Inventory Project – District Landslide Information Booklets (IMM, 2020)”; in order to form a basis for some projects designed within the scope of the Earthquake Mobilization Plan put into effect by our Presidency; “Landslide Awareness Booklets” were prepared in the form of 14 regions, based on the spatial distribution of landslides in 39 districts and the administrative borders of the districts with each other, and their geological structure, in order to raise awareness about the existence of landslides based on data and the paths to be followed afterwards, especially with local governments and other relevant stakeholders.
In line with the results of the Landslide Information Inventory Project, it is aimed to conduct multi-faceted landslide hazard and sensitivity studies in the Istanbul Province Area, and to create disaster action plans focused on resilient spatial planning and urbanization by evaluating them together with additional terrestrial data (geophysics, geodesy, etc.).
